Through an AIESEC volunteer's vivid introduction, my students once again got to experience using English and learning about some fun facts about Japanese culture, including several renowned tourist spots, comic characters, and popular Japanese food. On top of that, my seventh-grade students plucked up the courage to also ask some interesting questions about Osaka, the city Yuji is from, with feeling that the use of English to communicate with people outside of Taiwan in a meaningful context like this is both essential and fun as well.

Enjoying English Public Speaking
I don't know why,
but I've been so obsessed with expressing myself in English even though I still
make mistakes and my English is far from being perfect. Today, I once again
felt the joy of being able to think, organize and get my points across in
English at a workshop in Dong Shan Senior High School.

Team Takashima's School Visit to Kuang Ming
Professor
Takashima of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and his team came to visit
Kuang Ming, exchanging ideas and practices about international education with
the principal and me. To seek potential opportunities to work with more
Japanese high schools, I proudly presented in English about how we won the
International School Award from British Council Taiwan by conducting international video conferencing with my Japanese partners, complete with other cultural
exchanges from AIESEC and NECU volunteers.
